Rebecca Tedford, founder of Strength & Ease Psychotherapy, brings more than 20 years of experience in the therapy world. Before creating Strength & Ease, she worked with individuals and families in public agencies and has experienced therapy from both sides of the couch.

Rebecca is passionate about giving Charlottesville couples access to the gold standard in couple therapy—Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—and about supporting other therapists as they learn this model. She also provides consultation to supervisors of other therapy practices and leads trainings for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of what they bring into the therapy room.

Rebecca maintains firm boundaries around her work hours so she can be fully present with clients. Outside the office, you’ll find her walking her two dogs, hiking local trails, sampling new restaurants, strength training, or planning a vacation with her family.
